The Faulk Center for Counseling provides various support groups for adults experiencing similar life challenges. Although these are not “therapy” groups, they maintain a client-centered focus in a nonjudgmental environment. Initial evaluations are not required for attendance at these groups. If you believe one of the following support groups could be of benefit to you, please feel free to attend the group on the day/time listed below. The fee for each support group is $5 per session unless otherwise indicated.
On Site Groups:
NEW Friends & Family of LGBTQ+ Support Group
This support group is a safe and accepting space where family members and friends of LGBTQ+ individuals will be welcomed with empathy and can be heard and express their emotions regarding shared similarities and differences.
Individuals must be 18+ to participate. Mondays 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Parents Support Group: Wednesdays 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Moving Forward: Widows & Widowers: Wednesdays 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Life Issues: A Support Group for Adults: Mondays 10:00-11:30 a.m. OR Wednesdays 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Divorced/Separated: Wednesdays 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Men’s Issues: Mondays 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Women’s Issues: Tuesdays 10-11:30 a.m.
LGBTQ+ (Must be 18+): Fridays 12-1:15 p.m.
My Generation* (Adults over 70 years old): Mondays 5:00-6:00 p.m.
*My Generation provides an opportunity for senior citizens and high school students to come together to share experiences on a variety of topics. The group is free. The group has opening for new teen participants. Currently, senior participation is full. For teens to learn more about how to get involved in My Generation call 561-483-5300.
Off Site Groups: All off site locations are open only to residents.
Conducted in outreach locations throughout the community – residential communities, assisted living facilities, and senior centers. Initial evaluations are not required for attendance in these groups.

Beacon in the Mist: A specialized subprogram for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and similar symptoms is offered at Northeast Focal Point in Deerfield Beach.
